I guess in a way I workout so that I can enjoy my food without gaining weight. I also have an insatiable passion for food and eat healthy home prepared meals which I ruin with the occasional bottle of wine, sticky puddings, chocolate bars and creamy curries. Due to a lack of childcare it’s not possible for me to attend a gym on a regular basis and I don’t have a spare room for gym equipment or machines, so being able to do a workout from home around the children is a massive bonus for me. I also believe that being a mother means I shouldn’t let myself go, and if I’m ever to meet the man of my dreams and make it down the aisle then I’d like to think I could be wedding-dress-ready as soon as possible and not a dusty old spinster for the rest of my life. I’m a single parent to my 7yr old daughter and 2yr old son and workout not to lose weight but to bulk up and build strength, stamina, agility, flexibility and help me to sleep at night. It’s safe to say that I’m a bit of a fan of these extreme home workout series as I have already completed Insanity, P90X, P90X3, Focus T25 and PiYo so when I heard Insanity Max:30 was launching I literally couldn’t wait to work up a sweat. So here I go again, another Beachbody workout and I’m literally grinning from ear to ear in anticipation of the burn. And each routine is designed with a low impact modification so that no matter your fitness, weight or starting point everybody can achieve amazing results. There are 150 moves packed into 10 routines that you can do in the comfort of your own home with no equipment or weights needed. The goal of each workout is to go as hard as you can for as long as possible before taking a break and getting back to it, with the aim to increase your strength and stamina a few extra seconds a day across two months.
